Self Portrait animation and Print
This is my self portrait in the form of animation. I chose this medium because I've always wanted to be an animator. This is really my first step towards that. In the animation I show part of my morning routine. I like when my hair looks nice, I'm not very happy about waking up early, hence the sigh, and I need my glasses to see. I put all these little pieces of me in this animation. The biggest piece of me however is the fact that it is an animation itself.
This is a frame by frame print of my animation.

Self portrait research
I'm still not exactly sure what my final concept will be but these are my reference photos and my sketches. I do know that I will be doing my self portrait digitally. I'm really having artist mind block right now and there are no good concepts coming to mind.

I chose "Drawing is a means of finding your way about things, and a way
of experiencing, more quickly than sculpture allows, certain tryouts and
attempts". I chose this quote because as an artist who mostly draws, I
find this to be very true. With drawing, you build up your work,
erasing, resizing, and replacing. These are many things that can't be
done with just clay or paint.
I feel as though this is a good example because it shows the process of
building up a drawing and how, though it is not finished, the entire
picture is clear.
